Zeal - Board Game Graphic Art & Design

A comprehensive set of artwork and assets created for the upcoming board game Zeal, designed by Wylliam Judd.

My work on this project covered the full spectrum of the game's visual layout: designing four distinct, editable front-card templates for the creator, the card backs, the rotating dial, the complete rulebook layout, and the back of the box. I also adjusted and polished existing assets including logos, faction icons, and base cards, and put together a temporary box cover using the project's current illustrations.

This is a science-fantasy strategy card game set in a distant future on a dying Earth, where four cults fight for the right to end the world in their own way.
The Cognoid seek to develop an AI god that will connect all living beings to a hive mind.
The Specter seek immortality through the development of science and bioengineering.
The Magi relentlessly study physics to warp time itself.
The Lunari, motivated by vengeance, perform ancient blood rituals to reinstate their goddess as the supreme being.

Over the course of several months, my client and I explored extensively the front design of the cards, which having to show several types of information was especially complex, but an incredibly rewarding puzzle to solve.

Another fun challenge were the maximalist design of the back of the card, and putting together the layout and information of the entire rule book.

I was also tasked with developing the art for the rotating dial, the unique visual characteristics of each faction, refining the existing logo, making adjustments, and supporting graphics to ensure everything felt cohesive.
